Carolina Building Star Safety Award

NCDOL has awarded Patterson & Wilder the Carolina Building Star Safety
Award, a certificate of safety achievement.
Patterson & Wilder Construction Company, Inc. has been in the business
of building quality pipelines and associated facilities for more than
45 years. Our excellence in safety, workmanship, and experienced personnel
are an asset to any project. 
Over the years, we have developed a strength in overcoming challenges
that are unique to the utility construction industry.
We specialize in wetland construction (including the use of concrete
coated pipe and set-on weights), horizontal directional drilling, virgin
right-of-ways, rock excavation, and even congested laying conditions.

Carolina Building Star Partnership with North
Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL)-OSHA Three Year Agreement
Patterson & Wilder has been honored with our recent acceptance into the North Carolina Department of Labor’s “Building
STAR” Safety Recognition Program.
This is an elite recognition program that is awarded to less than .005%
of North Carolina companies!
The Carolina Star Program (“Building Star” for contractors) is designed to recognize and promote effective safety
and health management.
In STAR, management, labor, and OSHA establish a cooperative relationship at a workplace that has implemented a strong program:
Management agrees to operate an effective program that meets an established set of safety criteria.
Employees agree to participate in the program and work with management to ensure a safe and healthful workplace.
OSHA initially verifies that the program meets STAR criteria, then publicly recognizes the site's exemplary program and removes the site from the routine scheduled inspections list.
Becoming a STAR participant shows employees and the community that your company is a leader in safety
and health.
